This Privacy Policy describes how Giig ApS ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the BarkTalk mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you sign in via Apple, Google, or Facebook, we receive limited profile information from the authentication provider, which may include your name and email address. We use this solely to create and manage your account.

b. Photos and User Content

When you use BarkTalk to create a talking dog video, your photo is transmitted to a third-party AI service for processing. Photos are used solely for video generation and are not stored on our servers after processing is complete.

c. Usage Data

We collect anonymous analytics data such as app usage patterns, feature interactions, and crash reports to help us improve the App.

d. Purchase Information

Subscription and in-app purchase transactions are processed and managed by Apple. We receive transaction confirmations but do not have access to your payment details (such as credit card numbers).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the BarkTalk service
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Generate talking dog videos from your photos
• Process and validate your subscriptions and purchases
• Analyze usage trends, diagnose issues, and improve the App
• Communicate with you regarding support requests

3. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following categories of third-party services:

• Authentication providers (Apple, Google, Facebook) — to verify your identity and sign you in
• AI processing service — to generate talking dog videos from your uploaded photos
• Analytics providers — to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports

These services may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your photos with any parties other than our AI processing provider for the sole purpose of generating your video. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with analytics providers to improve the App.

5. Data Retention

• Photos: Processed in real time and not retained after video generation is complete.
• Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion.
• Analytics data: Anonymous usage data may be retained for up to 12 months.

6. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Request portability of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App, or by contacting us at support@barktalkapp.com. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID account settings.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

BarkTalk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed outside of your country of residence, including in countries that may not provide the same level of data protection. Where required, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
